Bounty Hunter ® Padded Carrying Bag
Protects your BOUNTY HUNTER ® metal detector from the elements,
While in storage, and in transit. Made of rugged double-stitched nylon
Construction, custom tailored to accommodate the BOUNTY HUNTER ®
S-rod configuration. Includes handy outside zip-pocket for extra batteries
or small accessories, and the bright BOUNTY HUNTER ® logo emblazoned
on the side. A must-have item for the active detectorist.
While there may be metal treasures under the asphalt of the parking lot, most modern day bounty hunters prefer to get away from their automobiles to more fertile territory before getting down to business. Likewise, the bounty hunter code of ethics rules out prospecting on private property, environmental reserves, and historical or archeological sites, so finding the right beach or park to comb may require some foot travel. To protect a sensitive metal detector in transit, Bounty Hunter offers this metal detector carry bag.
The bag accommodates all Bounty Hunter metal detectors with S-rod configurations and displays the Bounty Hunter logo on its side. Crafted in sturdy outer nylon shell with double stitching, the bag protect from dust, debris, weathering, and light water damage. A rust-resistant zipper provides quick access to the detector while keeping the bag firmly closed when sealed. For transporting spare batteries or stowing found goods, the bag provides outer pockets with zippers. Users carry the bag by two large handles. The USA-made bag measures 28 by 10 inches with expandable width and weighs 1.8 pounds upon shipping. --Jessica Reuling

| I bought the metal detector because I needed to find a lost survey pin. I assumed I'd need something to keep it in so I ordered the carry bag. It is reasonably well made but it is just a nylon zippered bag. There is nothing particularly unique about it (other than the name emblazoned on the side) and it does not afford the metal detector much protection. The metal detector arrived in a well designed box that would suffice for long term storage and probably offer more protection against accidental damage in transit. It would take more time to unpack and repack the box so I'd recommend the carrying bag to those buying a metal detector for frequent use. But for someone who, like me, who intends to use the device infrequently and needs a storage case, I'd recommend saving the twenty bucks. Just use the product packaging. |

| The Bounty Hunter CBAG Custom Carry Bag appears to be well made and I am pleased to say that the stainless steel scoop, as well as the Bounty Hunter TP-KIT Pouch and Trowel Combo Kit, easily fit into the bag so I have only one thing to carry. |

| The bag is of good quality, but is so short that I struggle to insert my bounty hunter landranger detectot with it broken down to it's most compact size. It is so much trouble to use that I've decided to purchase another longer bag. |

For the life of me, I don't understand why this product has gotten so many negative reviews; though, I am guessing it is because people are not fully researching the product to see if their equipment fits, or perhaps they are not purchasing the proper bag to carry and store their detectors. However, I find this bag to be great for carrying and storing my Bounty Hunter TRACKER IV metal detector, along with the headphones and the spare detector coil.
It's actually quite roomy and is the perfect length for my detector, and I find the straps inside the bag helpful in securing the detector. I do have to separate the detector into two pieces before storage, but that is not a problem to me. Though it looks thin, the bag is actually padded enough to protect its contents (my metal detector came out without a scratch after a 5+ hour car trip in which we heard it moving around in the trunk from time to time) and it also keeps them protected from the elements. I find it easy to carry as the bag does not tilt to one side, and the extra strap allows you to carry the bag over your shoulder, freeing your hands.
I really like the bold white lettering with the bit of blue on the logo; it's stylish, smart, and eye-catching, and shows that you are not up to no good with a long, black canvas bag! |

Great for transporting your Bounty Hunter. Has Velcro loops inside to hold down the straight section of the detector (you separate the sections to minimize length) and a small outside pocket on one end for spare batteries. Also has plenty of room for headphones and other supporting equipment.
The huge logo on the outside is a bit distracting, but is otherwise worth it. |
