Perfect for the small jobs, OXO's Good Grips mini angled measuring cups in stainless steel makes a handy and handsome chef's tool. This clever new design also works smarter instead of harder-the angled wall is marked on the inside with measurements so it's perfectly easy to tell from above when the desired amount is filled. No more holding the glass up in the light to check amounts! Viewed from the outside, the cup is sleek and modern, with the diagonal side dividing the polished silver into two layers. The soft grip handle offers firm, comfortable maneuvering, and the long spout pours smoothly and evenly. The angled design is also available in 1-, 2-, and 4-cup sizing. The measuring cup goes safely into the dishwasher between uses.

| It is a cup measure that is so tiny it does not measure a cup. |

| I adore my OXO plastic Mini Angled Measuring Cup for making cocktails. The angled design, allowing you to see the measuring marks from both the outside as well as looking down into the cup is nothing short of genius. When I saw this 'upgraded' version in metal, I had to have it. This metal version is terrible, however. I liked it quite a bit at first. Not being able to see through the sides turned out not to be a big deal and the brushed metal appearance looks a bit classier than the 'Science Lab' look of the clear plastic version. Unfortunately, OXO chose to print the measurements on the metal rather than stamp the lines and numbers into the metal itself. 2 weeks of use and the markings are so faint, you can barely read them. At the end of a month, I am sure they will be washed off entirely.. And we're talking handwash here. No harsh diswasher treatment. I'm not sure if the Alcohol has accelerated the fading, but it makes no difference really. it's still way too much to have spent on something that is rendered useless in a matter of weeks. I'm a huge OXO fan, but I'd frankly give this a Zero star if I could. |
| Can't read the graduations | 2010-02-14 | 1 / 5 |

| Bought the jigger size stainless steel one for cocktail mixing. It's useless. The graduation markings are so light, you can't read them. OXO stuff is top quality, but they failed here. |

I use this for measuring cocktail ingredients. I also have the same product in clear plastic. It's much easier to read the measurements on the plastic one in low light, however, I prefer the look and feel of the stainless steel. Hopefully Oxo will make a third model made of glass someday.

| 1) less precise than plastic; 2) scale markings are somewhat dim | 2009-07-31 | 3 / 5 |
|
1) Because it's opaque, the only way to read a measurement on this cup is by the scale on cup's interior. By contrast, the plastic version of the mini-angle cup (which I also own), can be read from an interior scale, or an exterior scale on its exterior, through its transparent plastic.
The interior scale of both the metal and plastic versions can be difficult to read accurately because it must be read while held below eye level, resulting in parallax. But the exterior scale of the plastic version allows reading a measurement with the cup held at eye-level, which averts parallax, and consequently yields a more precise reading.
2) The scale markings appear dark grey, not black. The scale markings could even be described as faded-looking, although my two cups are new. |
