The squirrel buster plus is super in doing what it promises as well as accommodating cardinals. We love it and so do the birds!

The squirrel didn't get any food, and has not tried it since! It keeps out crows also and blue jays too! Don't even think of buying another feeder. Just buy this one and enjoy. I have used several feeders, but the squirrels always outsmarted me. Not with this one! We hung it on a 'hook' stand in the yard, and my husband was determined not to have any squirrels get this feeder. So, he rubbed axle grease all over the pole. We watched the squirrel take running jumps at the pole, only to slide all the way down. He wore the axle grease off, however, and finally made it to the feeder! I looked out and the squirrel was totally wrapped around the feeder ring at the bottom, looking totally foolish and wondering how he was going to get down.

The Brome 1024 Squirrel Buster Plus is a great improvement over previous feeders. We bought it to eliminate the grey squirrels from eating large quantities of black sunflower seed. We were the neighborhood squirrel dining spot prior to this feeder. It is not perfect, however, as we have a resident small reddish brown sqiurrel who fits quite nicely on the perch...but, he is a hoot and doesn't eat too much and his larger relatives are no longer to be seen. Small birds are able to perch easily and we have a number of resident cardinals who love it.

Try as they might, the squirrels just can't get in this feeder... an added bonus is how funny it is watching the squirrels fall off and get frustrated.

This is a very nice bird feeder. Easy to fill and the birds seem to love it. Have it on a shepherds hook and mainly the smaller birds feed from it, but the larger ones feed from seeds that fall to the ground. Had one squirrel try to get into it, but between the pole and his weight the ports closed and he wasn't able to get a morsel and I haven't seen him back, even to feed on the ground. We plan to keep it filled all winter as well and have really enjoyed watching all the different birds who have come to feed. Well worth the extra money and is very well made and easy to clean. Rain runs off so the food stays dry as well. Best I have seen.
