| Beautiful aqua globes take care of most of the watering. It's not quite as ideal as they describe, since the end occasionally gets clogged when putting it into the pot, but I'm still very satisfied with my purchase. |

I received the aqua glass globes earlier than the anticipated date. There
were 12 in boxes of 2. All in shades of blue. Very nice. I would order
from this company again. |
| I Think They Work | 2010-06-28 | 3 / 5 |
|
| I think the AquaGlobes work. Have been using them for over 3 weeks before we go on vacation. Sometimes they lose their water very fast, but other times they slowly drain, which I assume is what they should always do. Don't know if the depth in which you put them into the plant soil makes the difference. Instructions weren't specific. |
| Aqua Globes-Fine but delivery was terrible | 2010-06-21 | 3 / 5 |

| The aqua globe was fine, but the delivery was terrible. I needed the product FAST and paid over $16.00 for overnight delivery (the products only cost $22.00). When confirming my order, the outside company partnered with stated that they did not have overnight delivery. The product did not arrive for a week. If I had known the company did not have overnight delivery, I would never have purchased the products. |

Aqua Globes Glass Plant Watering Bulbs - 12 Pack
1st....I would like to say that I think this is such a great idea for us plant lovers who need a little extra help tending to our houseplants! I have used one of these on a huge Spathphyllum that just continues to grow & look lush due to this "on demand" watering aide (since I tend to let it get too dry without this helper)! I rotate the side of the plant that I put the Globe into.
Now, regarding the twelve-pack Aqua Globes:
When searching for these globes to use to water some of my other "high demand" plants, I really wanted to know the dimensions on these globes. You just cannot tell how large or small they are. I wanted to be able to use them for some plants in large pots as well as some in 6" pots. I was somewhat disappointed to find that the stems of these are really too long for my smaller pots. However, they are perfect, in my opinion, for my larger potted plants. Because of this, I did add some pix to this product, hopefully, help someone else. These are very attractive globes and look good with the plants. They measure, approximately, 12" long x 3" (at widest point). The stem of this is around 8" long (part of the 12"). They are somewhat heavy without water and become top-heavy when filled so need a larger pot to hold them upright. I highly recommend this product for larger pots for those looking for an aide such as this. I cannot recommend it for smaller pots, however. I would think that one would need to use more than one of these for larger pots if not watering for more than a week. My large Spath. gets its Aqua Globe refilled twice a week (it does have those large leaves which require more water).
I see that there are "mini" globes available & I will try those next.
My observations using the Aqua Globe:
It can be messy refilling these. I fill a small plant watering can, turn the A. G. upside down near the soil line and pour the water from the smaller spout of the watering can into the opening. Whatever soil that gets into the spout of the Globe stays there & settles back down into the bottom of the stem when it is re-inserted into the soil. Occasionally, some soil from the stem of the Globe drops onto the soil surface of the plant. No mess this way. When you insert the stem into the soil, a certain amount of soil gets into the stem. Don't remove that. The system works with no muss, no fuss. I really like that I can see, at a glance, when the globe needs to be refilled.
The A. G. that is in my Spath has a shorter stem (approx. 4" long). In my opinion, the stem really doesn't need to be longer than that. The shorter stem helps balance the globe better and works in small pots (6") and large pots. That would also work better in hanging pots, I would think. I have put a couple of these longer stemmed A. G.s in hanging pots. I placed a stake in the pot and used cable ties to tie the globe to the stake. I left the tie around the base of the globe loose enough to be able to remove and re-insert the globe as needed. I suppose you could just put 3 or 4 stakes around the globe -- something to support it since it is top heavy. These hanging plants are indoors. I am not sure this would work outside in strong winds.
Since I will not be able to use all twelve of these globes, I will give some to friends. Plant lovers are share-ers! Hope this helps someone.
