Baby Tears Plant
Helxine (Soleirolia) soleirolii
Baby Tears is an old-fashioned moss-like creeping plant with tiny, round, deep green leaves. It prefers bright, indirect light. It grows about 4" tall and can spread as far as it has room to spread. Keep it evenly moist. Great houseplant! Great terrarium plant!

| This plant came faster than I'd been told, and looked wonderful when I unpacked it. Those little tears had to be lifted up a little because they were laying flat. It hasn't thrived as well as the other plants I bought, but that must be something I'm doing. I usually have trouble keeping these growing. It looked good and the whole top of the pot was bright green when it came. |

| Followed directions to a tee and the plants did die anyway, kept the directions, used them all the time and both plants died. My daughter was very sad. |

| I got two Baby Tears Plants and one of them died pretty early on - about 2 weeks later. The other one was also kind of 'week' and almost died - it has now 3 branches with some leaves - I hope it'll survive. I was kind of disappointed. I transfered the plants into a little larger pot after arrival - maybe that was the problem. Not sure. |

| Nope, do not let this picture -- baby tears plant, 4" pot Helxine -- seduce you into buying it. I got a plant whose growth was parallel to the rim of the planter, perhaps 1/16 of an inch in height, definitely not healthily overflowing as in the picture, but I will not return the plant and pay another $6.00 in postage to get rid of it. I ot burnt and I have learned, and maybe you can learn from my mistake. |
