We used this anchor with an 8' umbrella for a windy week in the Outer Banks of NC. It held like a champ! The plastic is pretty beefy, and it really digs into the sand well. We would dig a hole in the sand with our hands, anchor the umbrella into the hole, and then cover the entire thing with more wet sand so that the anchor handles added some additional grip.
The only problem was that the tightening screw put pressure on the umbrella pole at a single point, and that caused the pole to bend a little. Nothing that can't be fixed in the future with a short length of pipe inserted into the pole to strengthen it. |

| Used the anchor for the first time and it made putting the umbrella up a breeze. The umbrella did not move the entire time we were at the beach. I would buy this item again. |

| I think some of the reviews attached to this product may be for another anchor. This product is not as long as it appears and the plastic is thinner than most I've seen. The fins at the bottom are not wide enough to provide a good "anchor". You can get as much support for your umbrella digging a hole with your hand. I'd return it, but after shipping it's not worth the trouble. |

| Well made and works great. I love sitting on the beach and these are a must. |

I have used the anchor only a few times but I have to say that the quality of the materials used seems pretty good. Also, this product is long, so it gives you the option to really secure your umbrella in loose sand.
The product arrived within the stipulated time frame.
