| I needed a cover for our fire pit and this one delivers. It's easy to put on and remove and seems to be completely waterproof. Makes it easy to keep the firewood dry as well. I haven't had it long enough to see how cold temperatures affect its performance. |

This cover is as described. I am using it in the summer ro prevent rain from flowing into the center of my pit. So far, works good, it's only been a few weeks. I read that I could put some thompson's water seal on this cover to keep it even better/longer waterproofed. I haven't done it yet, but will.

The good: This product is very well made. It is high quality canvas with a well made drawstring and sturdy plastic clips that attach to the fire pit. It comes well packaged and arrived damage-free.
The bad: It's way too small. VERY much smaller than the picture indicates. I have a pretty standard 35 inch, round fire pit, and it just stretches to cover the fire pit, and that's with the metal grate turned upside down (completely eliminating it's vertical profile.) Even with the with the grate inverted, the cover does not cover this 35" fire pit as far down as is pictured. Because of the tight fit, it is not particularly easy to get on/off as you might like, but it is by no means difficult. I could not get the cover on with the grate in the correct position, nor would it fit with the poker covered in any position.
The ugly: because of the small size and the required stretch, the canvas is pulled tight across the flat top, thus rainwater accumulates on top of the product.
Conclusion: I would not recommend this product for fire pits over 35" in diameter, and would forewarn that it will not give you the vertical coverage the picture indicates even with a 35" fire pit.
EDIT: I downgraded my review to 1 star from 3 because of the following: After a heavy rain, the water will pool on the top of the cover, thus the weight pulls the little bit that covers the sides up even further. This allows water to get inside the fire pit. That essentially makes this product useless. |

| This is the best cover we've ever purchased. It is heavy duty, covers the entire pit and ties to the legs so it won't blow away. Wish we had found this one before! |
